No rest for the wicked! Despite it being a Sunday there is still work to be done and no better opportunity to get ourselves noticed than at the monthly Farmers' Market at the Humber Bridge. Although the morning started off quietly for most people, http://www.feastrisingbakery.co.uk/ had a long queue patiently waiting to buy their excellent produce. I have been privileged to taste proper artisanal bread twice in the same week after my visit to the Handmade Bakery in Slaithwaite, West Yorkshire on Friday. The teacakes were excellent.
In total there are 20+ food producers providing all manner of delicious produce including goats cheese from award winning lownadairy.com , excellent air dried salami sausage from http://www.threelittlepigsonline.co.uk/. In a brief blog post such as this, it is not possible to do justice to the quality and range of suppliers. So rather than let me try and tell you all about it, why not take a trip yourself - every first Sunday of the month, all year round. I'm sure you won't regret it!
