Yorkshire Day & The Yum Food Festival

OK - So I'm a day late in posting this, but yesterday was very busy tracking down Yorkshire food businesses who we think should be featuring in our magazine.  It was a hot day punctuated with occasional Yorkshire foodie treats such as a Wensleydale sandwich enhanced by a generous dollop of Mercers Red Onion Marmalade.  It has to be the best product of its kind I've ever tasted!

As we seem to be doing everything backwards this morning, it is worth mentioning our attendance at the Yum Food Festival in the centre of Hull over the weekend.  Although Day 1 was very quiet, things really livened up on Saturday.  We had lots of interest in our magazine and some great chat with the foodie crowd from Hull.  Our prize draw went down well as did the raffling of our fabulous cake which raised £30 for Dove House Hospice.  Special thanks to Cake-licious for our beautiful eye catching cake which was such a talking point on Day 2, The Big Sizzle for keeping us supplied in sausage samples and Raisthorpe Manor foods for plying us with Raspberry Gin.
